Optimising your blog does not mean you have to stuff many keywords into the write-up. Keyword stuffing may cause an adverse effect, hence, you should follow certain rules to make this work. Read on to know how can you optimise your blog.

Use long-tail keywords

You can use one or more than one keywords in the blog. These long keywords keep the writing focussed on the particular goals of visitors. Audience looking for long-tail phrases will go through the entire post, and then, will ask for more information from you. In short, you will bring the right audience who wishes to convert after reading the post.

Include keywords in different parts of your blog

Try to embed keywords in four places like, title tag, meta description, URL, headers and body.

Title tag- Putting a keyword in the title is vital because it is a reader’s and the search engine’s first step to determine the post’s relevancy. Make sure that you put the keyword in the first sixty characters of the headline.

Headers & body- Keywords must be present throughout the content’s body along with the headers in a natural cadence. When you are planning to write content, understand what matters most to the readers. Focus on delivering helpful and right answers to your audience.

URL- Search engines look onto the URL to understand what the content is all about. Hence, do not forget to include one or two keywords in the URL.

Meta description- This is meant to provide visitors and search engines with information about the blog. By using long-tail keywords on meta description, you will be clear to search engines and visitors what is present in the post.

Create a mobile-friendly blog

Are you aware of the fact that people are more inclined to use their mobiles than a computer? As mobile is used for maximum searches, Google has been favouring websites that are mobile-friendly. By opting for “responsive designs” you can create a mobile-friendly blog. Responsive websites have one URL instead of two for the blog pages. Inbound links coming back to the website will not be divided between two URLs. This further helps Google to identify the blog and rank it appropriately.

These are the four tips that you can follow. Or, you can also seek help from SEO professionals working in an SEO optimisation company in Leeds.
